Review of Eyes Wide Shut (1999) by Greg K — 22 Mar 2011

Kidman is probably the finest English speaking actress of her era and this is one of her best performances. But not even she can save this film from heading down the toilet from the moment the credits start.

It's a shame because there are the makings of a truly great film in here somewhere. As it is though, this is fascinating, sordid mess and, to make it worse, much of it is in poor taste.
