Review of Eyes Wide Shut (1999) by Ashleigh B — 13 Apr 2012

This masterpiece on the human pursuit for and obsession with sexuality is just as bold and daring now as it was in 1999. Tom Cruise gives his best performance, as does Nicole Kidman. Sydney Pollack is in the film for a short time, but leaves a lasting impression. Though not his absolute best, Stanley Kubrick's swan song is still a true spectacle and an underrated classic.
