Review of Eyes Wide Shut (1999) by Jean-Philippe G — 08 Jun 2014
Strange, disturbing, macabre and although beautifully shot, brilliantly executed and thought provoking, nothing can excuse its length and slow paced plot that could have been edited down by a good 45 min.
Its Kubrick less engaging film, but it still have plenty of good qualities, as Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman give both one of the best performances of their career.
