Review of Eyes Wide Shut (1999) by Brett H — 23 Oct 2013
Leave it to Kubrick to make a film that is at one point hauntingly beautiful and then memorably bizarre. The big "thing" about this film is the segment in the mansion and if nudity bothers you; steer clear! The acting was really great and the long-takes of strictly dialogue were impressive to watch and felt very genuine.
I do think that it could've been trimmed maybe fifteen minutes, but Kubrick's last film is a doozy that I will never forget.
