Review of Eye of the Dolphin (2007) by Ana B — 25 Sep 2009
Troubled girl goes to live with her completely unknown father. The trick is that the father lives in the Bahamas and is a dolphin scientist. From this premise you can imagine the rest, girl bonds with father, girl bonds with dolphins, girl solves her problems plus her father's problems.
If you think it seems too good to be true, well maybe it is. Sometimes I would look closely at the movie and wonder if this is a promotional video made by the Bahamas Council. The plot it is a mere excuse for a succession of very beautiful scenes by the seaside, Alyssa swimming with the dolphins, sailing with his father and walking in the stunning beaches of the Bahamas.
It is just a shame that the story it is so badly explained, that the dialogues are so clumsy and the end is so easy.
