Review of Eye in the Sky (2007) by Gary G — 13 Apr 2016
A pretty good film ruined by a Hollywood politics, but only at the end. Found the technology of tracking terrorists fascinating and wonder is it is real or sci-fi. Film shows the insanity of fighting a war with lawyers looking over one shoulder and politicians over the others.
However, the ending makes no sense. The way the people involved are portrayed as feeling is not anything like they would have felt because they didn't know what the audience knows. There is also something disgusting about never showing the evil that the terrorists to while concentrating on unavoidable collateral damage people must do in fighting them.
What starts out as a brave film, buckles in the end to Hollywood stupidity. Good acting, directing, and 90% of the script was fascinating.
