Review of Eye in the Sky (2007) by James N — 03 Jun 2016

Well...I was not expecting that! Eye in the Sky is a film about drone warfare and the different members involved in completing a capture or kill mission, from the pilots to the decision makers. Not only is this the best thriller I've seen so far in 2016, but it is the best film I've seen so far in 2016.

Every actor was sublime, Mirren, Paul and especially the late Alan Rickman who delivers one of the best lines of dialogue towards the end of the film. The tension slowly builds and builds until you start nervously biting your nails at the climax (or at least I was!).

The cinematography was excellent, subtle camera changes and nice one take shots when following the little spy cameras. I also have to give credit to the soundtrack as well which just perfectly fits with the film.

I cannot recommend this film any more than I have, it's just sublime.
