Before listening to the dribble already said about this movie, ask yourself one simple question: how many bad movies has Tom Hanks played in? Good, now that you have had a good think about that concept, read on.

This movie was misunderstood by most due to the deeply intellectual and moving nature of both the movie and the book behind it. Due to the callous first take that many can receive from this movie, it is challenging to realize its brilliance.

At its heart, this movie is a powerful exploration into the process of feeling and dealing with grief. For all those who have experienced a loved one's death, this movie will bring tears and start discussions that must be had.

This movie is full of therapy for the heart, witty lines for the mind and a happy ending for those willing to ignore the pundits cookie cutter recommendations. Do not be fooled by the critics, this movie is perhaps the first movie to powerfully and adequately address and attempt to come to terms with September 11th and the story will capture your heart and your attention if you let it.

A masterful performance by Hanks and Bullock that will get its due diligence eventually.
