Review of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011) by Galvy F — 27 Feb 2016
Reconnaissance Expedition in search for the 6th Borough. What is apparent and knowledable to us when we are older, it's a whole new game changer when we are young. This extreme enlighten excitement of discovery. The path to adulthood, the grooming of greatness to greatness in your own way. These self condulded world's we are born into, born in, and familiar with, for it makes comfortable, it makes us greater then who we are. We might be different then others, isolated from society, and not like most people our own age. We are able to get along with those whom eventually conform to their own difference at a later age, whom are comfortable interacting with people in a different way, we rarely find people whom share our own mind and world the way we do, to the way we like it. What makes our world great is the diversity of life that it brings. What we need and require to get through life and build upon. The world has always circulated around us, and we circulated around them. What makes it hard for us to circulate as others do, is mainly we prefer to live this safeness we nest in. For some whom deal with bad news and change instantly, it takes us longer. We take momentos and souvenirs to remember our trip, our experience, our happier moments. For others, it's continous where ever we go. It shapes us whom we are, how we speak, act, and live. "It would take 8 minutes before we the sun explodes for us to realize it because that's how long light takes to reach us." But if we did know the sun was going to explode, what would we do in that 8 minutes? Still being unable to do anything, just knowing all of life's diversity and knowledge and everything we know, loved and grew up in is gone in an instant. We can try to run away from it, hide, we pretend it doesn't exist, all these mechanisms we created to deal with problems. We try to stretch it as long as we can.
The direction we choose to deal with life, we hope to pack everything we need in our bag to get us through. When we leave the most important thing behind us whom helps us get through our day much easier, whom require us close by to watch over, for you are all that is left in their life. We leave behind our loved ones to cope with our absence. We are needed elsewhere because, it is reassurance that we need, spiritual growth, loving growth, there is no knowledge or something equations can solve, but simple biological nurturing. The time we fill in between the moment before deep impact before it happens, we fill it with all shapes of life to fill. Why it is important to us makes us different, makes every puzzle have a piece, every riddle have a solution, every question to an answer. The time we use to fill this uncertainty, with countless what ifs..... countless what could.... countless questions that are unpredictable, but it could happen.
When one day we are venturing in the city with our guide, to end up alone in the forest, with no direction to countless possibilities and stories of what is dangerous nearby that we have to deal with. We don't know what brought others to their destination or direction.
No one wants their world shattered or rattled, and want things to remain the same. This moment of impact before something goes terribly wrong, we wish for everything to be okay before we know. We just wish the problem just misses us and we dodge bad news. For what we know this world is ours, and within that world is ours to shape and mold the way we want it. When tragedy is only one thing we have to face of what deep impact we have to face. When what remaining world we gather, we realize it isn't ours to gather. It isn't ours at all, when there are those whom are in control, when there are those whom are preventing us from keeping our world when there are those whom we revolve around for they are in power. We brace for deep impact even further. We have always revolved around something in life, whether it's a god, a sun, a higher power, or the television, for where we get our knowledge, bad news, good news, life, diversity etc. Somethings we can pin point where everything went wrong to prevent or know what not to do, we lived our whole life disciplined to know it's not right.
We keeps us moving, what keeps us living, what keeps this ecstacy of the happiest moments of our life continuous that strengthen us. When it comes to end, it slows us down, until we find another thing that we hadn't found in a long time to strengthen us once again. What keeps us searching, to some things that just wound up finding us in the end. This unpredictable life we live, that we think we control or others control, we just ending up finding happiness where we least expect it. inevitably we come to the realization that time runs out before we actually come to know everything there is to know. No matter what we do, we can't out run our biological capability. We can contain so little, we can do so little, with what human biological senses, organisms, and cognition we have. Where we get our biological entities, we know or don't know whether it's biological, whether it of some higher being, whether it's just by coincidence or something out of own control.
Facing our own demise is hard, coming face to face with death, knowing life will be over soon is even harder. How much we appreciated life that we took those drastic steps in mere instant death to dodge it, and stretch it even longer. To come out alive, to get back to our loved ones to get back to our world again, from hell and back we take those steps. When we are not the only ones whose world's we don't want to rattle or end.
Some momentos are not worth holding onto, they are harmful, they are damaging, they are not worth remembering the worst moment in our life, a constant reminder.
The momentos or directions we take or things we do, that we just know deep down we have to hold onto, continue we know it's for a reason that was sent from someone looking over us. This physical world to the other side, we know exist whether it's evidence or no evidence of it. A happier place, an afterlife, a place far from here awaiting us that unlocks the secrets to what we don't know and changes our life.
Not everything has a well executed masterplan, a guideline, a greater purpose filled with people we know, people we don't know, it just happens through sheer miracle and some interlocking souls destined to meet, whether it's for ourselves or others, whether it's small or something bigger, something that watches us and guides us along the way.
This unfilled life to those whom have filled some life, we all come together share our life stories that enrich us deeper. We unlock these hidden secrets about each other we didn't know existed. We unlock how similar we are, how alone we are not, and how much we share I this fulfilled life if knowledge and wonder as we do. We share in our glories and failures, happy times and sadness. Somethings we wish we didn't have to share in others pains, tragedy and fears we are not prepared to deal with when it happens. We never know it could happen to us, it could be so unfulfilling and be a terror in our world of happiness.
What do victims of war do when having to pick up the pieces of this tragic and harsh life that happens? What direction do they take?
What do we do when the bread crumbs to our destinations are no longer there. We do it alone ourselves. How we spend our time and life, storing all of life's stories and history to pass along to next to remember, including ourselves.
