Review of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011) by Hank V — 25 Jul 2012
Perhaps those posting negative reviews have not lived with a child with Asperger's Syndrome; however, this movie has a child on the autistic spectrum well portrayed. To be fair the treacly comment is well deserved, but pretentiousness or precociousness is appropriate for Oscar.
Somewhat of a waste of Max von Sydow and the denouement is predictable. But for an illustration of an Aspie or autistic spectrum disorder child coping with a significant change in routine the movie is spot on.
