I would have enjoyed this movie better if the child in it was not as brash. All the other characters in the movie were more likable than he. When it came time for the big climax at the end, rather than being moved, I felt it was a big "so what" moment.
Three stars for captivating performances by the supporting cast (Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, and particularly Max von Sydow). Additionally, the dad in the movie inspired me to want to do more with my kids.
