I could barely make it through this movie. The only thing that kept me interested was the hope that there was going to be some grand message/secret revealed in the son's search for clues left behind by his father.

Some serious overacting on the part of the son. Maybe they were going for that effect. He was just annoying. It is obvious they were trying to have him be sort of a "outcast". One of those kids that acts a little weird, dresses funny, has trouble making friends, but they just went to far.

Watch something else.
