Review of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011) by Billy H — 24 Aug 2015
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close is one of those movies which when it starts seems right from the off that you're going to find it hard to enjoy, this time round its because of an overly annoying character, the child.
Surprisingly enough he soon becomes charming and cute, parallel to that the story grows stronger and you soon grow to understand the movies moral. I still feel though that something went wrong along the way, the movie only begins to get interesting with the introduction of his grandfather and the difficult child becomes clearer to understand.
Obviously the story puts a feel good factor on a sad subject, it touches you and is rather beautiful however it regularly drags and loses focus or dwells on uninteresting areas. Overall its a nice watch but a once only.
