Review of Extraordinary Measures (2010) by Leslie R — 04 Jun 2010
Hi, I think this movie was pretty good it sort of did fall into the made for tv movie land but that was okay to me now. It starts out with a man who has two kids with a rare disease that the life expecting is nine years old the oldest one turn 8 too at the beginning of the movie (they had another kid that was fine and healthy too).
The main character comes across one researcher that might have a cure for helping his kids out so he packs his bags to meet him. The researcher tell him he would like to have more funding to do the research but the college where he works at cut the funding so that is where the guy tells him about a foundation (in which I think he thought on top of his head too) so he goes back home and raise quite a bit of money (he also meet another parent that had two kids with the same disease too like his).
You get to see how the main character pretty much risk ever thing to find a way to save his kids life that is the made for tv movie lands at. All in all its a good rental to rent (maybe on the buying thing) and root for this man trying to find a cure for that disease too.
