Review of Experimenter (2015) by Raúl G — 13 Feb 2016
Although the plot walks around the famous Milgram Experiment and the life of Stanley Milgram the disturbing nature of the movie is not about the experiment itself, but about the questions that made it possible. Related to the also famous "Banality of Evil" concept, Milgran questioned the very nature of obedience as a social construct and a psychological phenomenon with disturbing conclusions. This movie is destined to grow in our minds time after watching it and rightly so, as the findings and more importantly, the questions of Stanley Milgram are as relevant today as they were in his time.
A very well written and acted movie that achieves its main purpose: to make the viewer feel both uneasy and curious about matters that really matter beyond the Banality of Pop Culture.
