Review of Exotica (1994) by Ashley B — 05 Jul 2007
Director Atom Egoyan delicately weaves an intensely intriguing film about flawed human beings and their relationships are nothing short of complex emotions. Every character is desperately trying to grasp something to hold on to and the film's strong subtext reveals deeper meanings that literally screams out to your soul.
You will feel dazed and confused but by film's end, everything will conclude on its own. You will then feel a strange sense of shocked fulfillment, leaving you to question human life. The film's strong points include an involving plot, attractive eye visuals, slow pace and an amazingly engrossing soundtrack.
Stunningly enthralling, Exotica is extremely profound.
