Review of Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) by Yoshi S — 23 Mar 2015
Not entirely sure what the fuss is about for this film. Granted, it deviates from the story everyone knows, but it still hits all the major plot points and turns that made this Bible story one of the greats.
Christian Bale brings some brash to the epic character Moses, as does the directing of Ridley Scott. It's a different take, more battles, less talk, different plagues, but it all comes to the same outcome in the end.
I would give it a chance, because all in all its entertainment at best. Just be prepared to not compare it to other versions of this story. 3/5 JD.
