Review of Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) by Robert G — 07 Apr 2015
The problem with this movie is that because it's based off a story from the Bible, and Ridley Scott considers himself Agnostic, he attempts to tell this story both fundamentally and metaphorically; more specifically with how he depicted God.
*Spoiler Alert* While I thought the idea of a little boy being "God's messenger" was pretty epic, a lot of religious folks will still complain about the depiction. Personally, I think of God more as an entity than a person - and that is as far as I'm going to go talking about my beliefs! All in all, pretty good film.
