Review of Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) by Jenna G — 05 May 2015

I think Ridley Scott was sincere in his attempt to bring this well known tale to life, but it just didn't work out. Visually, it is outstanding. Really. The film is beautiful to look at in every way.

I liked Joel Edgerton here and the rest of the cast was okay, I guess. The emotion in the Bible story just does not make the transition from page to the film, and except the visuals, that is really what powers the story.

Not bad, but not great.
