Review of Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) by Maria S — 01 Mar 2016
A bunch of secular writers and producers must have read some cliff notes instead of the bible then improvised by adding unrelated garbage in an effort to make this movie appear 'exciting,' which they miserably failed.
The movie omits relevant facts leading up to the Jewish peoples exodus from Egypt. The connection between Moses and God is distorted and seems almost nonexistent. 'Moses' appears to have little to no faith.
The actors seemed to go through the motions without investing or at least feigning any interest in the production. In this 'adaptation' of the Exodus, God is portrayed as a rude, dirty little boy with a smart aleck attitude which my husband and I found quite offensive on several levels.
