Review of Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) by Johnny K — 04 Apr 2015

It's definitely the weakest of the three Exodus adaptations I've seen; the agnostic take on the Plagues was unwise, and the supporting cast is uneven (Usually squandered, Joel Edgerton is the only real weak link, however), but Christian Bale's performance, some fun action scenes, and the beautifully rendered Plagues (And the parting of the Red Sea to a lesser extent) kept me sufficiently entertained.

That said, it probably wasn't the best introduction to Ridley Scott's work. Verdict: B-.
