Review of Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) by Christian A — 15 Aug 2016
Horribly misfires in its attempt to tackle its subject matter from a naturalist approach and fails in its attempt to outdo Cecil B DeMilles 'The Ten Commandments' by being a faith-based evangelical 'gladiator' film that tries to reach the intended audience without alienating the rest.
Ridley Scoot fails to deliver in what feels like a rushed and effects focused film - let alone the whitewashing. Though undeniably epic, just not epic enough.
