I really dug the concept of a blurred reality set in a game within a game mindfuck. perception is a motherfucker what can I say…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Gareth D (604) on 13 Jul 2008

I just re-watched this film, and I actually think it's one of the better Cronenberg films, and maybe one of my favorite recent Hollywood films…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Shaun G (62) on 12 Jul 2008

I read alot of reviews saying that there were lots of incoherent scenes and bad acting but I'd like to think that it was all on purpose…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Emil K (106) on 11 Jul 2008

One of the Cronenbergs best. Twisted, dark and nightmarish all the way. The Script is just pure genius and so is the directing…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Julie G (404) on 11 Jul 2008

Decent acting combined with a twisty plot equals a good movie. The game device eerily reminds me of the newer game systems…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Bryanna H (66) on 11 Jul 2008

This forgotten mindfuck is a little bit Momento and little bit the Matrix and maybe even a little bit WarGames…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Nate A (393) on 08 Jul 2008

Eh, these ideas have been explored before, and better. The rest of the film is typical grotesque Cronenberg…

This and Videodrome are my two least favorite Cronenbergs so far. I hope he doesn't go to this part of his brain a third time…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Byron T (108) on 07 Jul 2008

A toatl mind-trip full of Canadian talent. Much more high-brow than the Matrix, and trippier too. You never know how it really ends…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Paul Z (502) on 06 Jul 2008

EXistenZ is a crescendo in Cronenberg's style. His films are always emotional, but not in the sense of a tear-jerker or a melodrama…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Carolina A (33) on 05 Jul 2008

The plot is very original... and the mix betwwen the virtual and real's worlds are really disturbing…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Kate T (306) on 05 Jul 2008

Something really special about this movie... very well directed, and quite a capturing sequence of events... I enjoyed every bit of it…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Mark S (2,772) on 05 Jul 2008

Typical Cronenburg, but with one of the most mindblowing plots ever seen on screen…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Dan W (491) on 02 Jul 2008

Great idea, but kinda low budget. Sadly, the parts the even remotely resemble the matrix arent really done as well as they could have been…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By Antoine T (11) on 01 Jul 2008

Le jeux vidéo organique il fallait y penser…

Review of eXistenZ (1999)

By William Arnold (1,101) for Seattle Post-Intelligencer (2,422) on 29 Jun 2008

Cronenberg is one of the cinema's true originals, and a trip to his spooky world is always a harrowing, thought-provoking experience…
