Review of eXistenZ (1999) by Braden J — 12 Jun 2009
A twisted tale of games and society which will only really appeal to Cronenberg fans. This film is a mix of various Cronenberg elements, some of the themes are very subtly presented; overall it feels like an unofficial sequel to Videodrome.
Jude Law is a bit too green in this, there seemed to be a couple lines that he ruined. I thought this is an interesting take on the hallucination / dream sequence narrative device.
