Review of Excess Baggage (1928) by Alex S — 02 Jul 2010
There was one and only one reason that I wished to see this film: Benicio Del Toro. Honestly, if it weren't for him, it is unlikely that this movie would've been as watchable as it is. I basically knew what to expect from Alicia Silverstone, yet her whiny-ness still got on my nerves a bit.
Even so, there is solid chemistry between her and Del Toro that is really great. Though Im not a Christopher Walken fan, I must admit that the movie really kicks into gear whenever his character is around.
Thus, if you like Del Toro or Walken, don't pass on seeing this film - it may just surprise you.
