Review of Excalibur (1981) by Dave P — 02 Apr 2008
The best King Arthur movie around, bar none, in my eyes. No tweaks to make it more "action packed", or "heart torn" - just a straight up telling of the tale. Not the best choice for anyone looking for great special effects or action sequences of today's movies.
To enjoy this film, you need to appreciate not only the legend itself, but the manner in which it was brought to screen.
