A flawed yet brilliant vision of King Arthur and the legend of Excalibur, as viewed through the eyes of John Boorman.
Nicol Williamson, Helen Mirren, and Nigel Terry give excellent performances while the visuals are truly stunning, but the writing of the film could have been better.
