Review of Evil Dead (2013) by Spencer B — 21 Nov 2014

While not nearly as scary as the original, the intensity - and therefore badassery - surpasses the original. Its so brutally gory, so intense, and SO MUCH FUN! The first time I watched this, after it was over, I was literally exhausted.

I had used up that much adrenaline and testosterone on the sheer awesomeness of this movie. Also upping the intensity and ratcheting up the scares is easily one of the best soundtracks of the past decade.

Thank you, Fede Alvarez and Roque Banos. Well done. I hope to see you in the sequel.
