Review of Eve's Bayou (1997) by Tania M — 01 Aug 2007
Perfect movie and very true-to-life (despite all of the voodoo). It really depicts how a lot of black families are. This is especially significant for those who cannot relate to the urban or "hood" films out there.
Spike Lee is all well and good, but Kasi Lemmons has a true distinct voice.
