Review of Everyone's Hero (2006) by Britty K — 30 Sep 2006
Nobody's a hero in this bland animated adventure about a wide-eyed tyke traveling across Depression-era America to reture Dave Ruth's stolen bat. He's accompanied by an obnoxious talking baseball named Screwie who's main function is to complain.
It's difficult to tell who the picture was made for since kids today don't exactly worship at the altar of the Bambino and it's not funny or dramatic enough to engage the parents. It's only notable as the final project Christopher Reeve worked on before his death.
Whatever he saw in the story didn't make it onto the screen.
