Review of Everyone Says I Love You (1996) by Brian S — 11 Jun 2007
This is Woody's take on the American Musical. The characters are, more or less, 'real people' who just sing out whenever they feel the urge to. From a cast of mainly non-musical actors, the only one who does not sing her own part is Drew Barrymore.
And, for its highs and lows, I love it all the more. As usual, the dialogue is exceptional, and the view of New York through Woody's lense is joyous and upbeat.
