Review of Everyone Says I Love You (1996) by Roxanne L — 06 Jan 2008
It's hard to believe that this is from 1996... but it is. Allen did a splendid job combining a modern romantic comedy with some old-time musical elements. While not his best film, Allen's satirical take on life and love made this musical watchable even for those who normally shy away from this genre.
Interestingly, Goldie Hawn had the best singing voice of the lot of them. Also, you can see more that might otherwise want through Drew Barrymore's pink dress - watch for the circumstances and you might be a little surprised at the insight we might draw out from her psyche - I think she has a thing for bad boys.
