It seemed as if they made a list of all the pop hits of the 80's (jiffy pop, drinking games, popular dances, etc) that they wanted to weave in and then strung them together with uninspiring dialogue.
It was painful to sit through. Saying it was a character study is putting it nicely ... I didn't come to care much for any of the characters.
