This is inevitably going to be compared to Dazed and Confused, and it's very different, but has the same heart that permeates the best of Linklater's films. I really liked it a lot. I think it's one of those films that will get better with each watching too, like most of Linklater's portfolio.

It's a full on testosterone fest, which made it like watching an actual older movie that was made in 1980 instead of a modern movie set in that era. A lot of interesting little quirks like that that I'm sure I'll tune into when it comes out on bluray now that I don't have expectations going in.

Definitely worth the price of admission.
