Review of Everybody Wants Some!! (2016) by Lewis E — 27 Aug 2016

An authentic 80s throwback movie that refreshingly portrays fraternity attitudes and behaviour without the obnoxious content of modern teen comedies. It captures the setting well, using a fun cast and environment to create a strong nostalgic feel which will undoubtedly make audiences miss the simpler times of university life.

However, much like Richard Linklater's other similar movie 'Dazed and Confused', there is no substantial story-line to follow. You are basically watching these baseball players go to parties and trying to 'pull' girls without any substantial narrative direction.

It is enjoyable seeing the development of male bonding between these likeable characters but I'm unsure as to what the purpose to all of this is.
