Review of Every Little Step (2008) by Michael T — 03 Feb 2014
A perfect companion piece to watching A Chorus Line takes you behind the scenes of the 2006 revival casting process. It's about the trials and tribulations of casting a show about the trials and tribulations of casting a show.
Expertly told combination of the original casting process and the origins of the show combined with this setting of the revival from open auditions to the final casting call. I defy you not to want to watch the show afterwards, though you may have to settle for the inferior film.
My only complaint is that it focuses mostly on the female roles. The guys are barely featured.
This is meta cinema squared. Great documentary.
