Review of Every Little Step (2008) by Dean B — 18 Jul 2009
An above average documentary about the notion of an artist's journey! It doesn't matter what's your most inner desire... life is not about getting there; it's more about the earnest way to achieving your goal! A Chorus Line remains to be one of my favorite all-time Broadway musicals.
I can relate to quite a few of the characters' back stories. At times, the characters and situations moved me to tears. I wished we learned more about these real actors who tried their darnedest to be an integral part of the new ACL revival on Broadway.
There were some good stories about the original cast & crew from the 1970's. However by the end of this film, I felt a little cheated with a fluffy American Idol movie instead of, as choreographer Baayork Lee best put it - "you gotta eat nail!" - with the entire hopeful cast!
