Review of Everlasting Moments (2008) by Ane T Te C — 04 Nov 2008
It looks fantastic at first sight. And I heard they got praise at the Toronto Film Festival, but let's be honest: it's really not all that. Sure, it has its moments and it tells a somewhat tragic story about a family in Sweden in the early 1900's that gets to you, but this film would be nothing without Mikael Persbrandt.
He is the one who gets the story going, when his character makes the decisions about relocating or going on a strike, that is when things happen. So in a way this story is more about Signe Larsson than Maria Larsson.
