Review of Everest (2015) by Robert M — 08 May 2016
Overall movie I'd say 3 1/2, but it is based on one of the most tragic real life events ever put on film. The emotional impact throughout the film didn't feel too strong to me, but the ending before the credits was quite an emotional scene itself even without a moving picture.
If you don't really know about the event that occurred, much of it as well as the film was pretty unpredictable as large groups of people in 1996 take on the most daring challenge mother nature has to offer.
I don't know if much of the movie or the whole movie was filmed in Everest, but if so, a really big kudos to that. Really big kudos. Either way, this was a pretty incredible film involving love, daringness, courage, hope, and a pretty good emphasis on cooperation.
