Review of Everest (2015) by Ken S — 22 Feb 2016

Decent adventure/drama about the real life disastrous 1996 climb of Mount Everest, in which eight people died after a storm hit while they were atop the mountain. I liked the movie well enough...had a good cast, a great story, and wonderful production values.

I also appreciated that it rarely felt too melodramatic and fakey fake Hollywood in it's story. I enjoyed the pacing and thought it was a good story well told. And from what I've read of the actual events, it is a fairly accurate depiction of the events.

..not too Hollywood'd up. Enjoyable movie, I'll remember the real stories I've read since I watched it more than the actual movie though.
