Review of Event Horizon (1997) by George E — 27 Sep 2009
In the future a space ship that was thought to have been lost 7 years before suddenly shows up in orbit of neptune. a rescue ship is dispatched. but when they arrive things go wrong and the true story of what happened to the ship is revealed.
An interesting mix of outer space sci fi and horror. the director sets up a pretty creepy atmosphere but sadly the story wasn't strong enough for me. but this is a problem I have with all horror/ghost films: I want theoretical explanations of how this "supernatural" stuff happens. here they try to provide a quasi-scientific one but for me it wasn't enough for me swallow it.
