Review of Event Horizon (1997) by Jeremy V — 08 Dec 2011
One of my favorite movies of all time. It is intriguing, bloody, disgusting, and scary as all hell. It's not anywhere near perfect, and there are definitely a few things I would have done differently, like actually explain what the hell the ship is doing, what it brought back with it, what made the original crew want to kill each other, and of course, explain in greater detail the character's fears and other parts of their sordid history.
Could have been less violent, and focused more on the psychological aspect, but all things considered, it's fun as hell to watch, and no matter how many times I see it, I can't ever get sick of it.
