Review of Evening (2007) by Wendy S — 03 Dec 2008
Covers the ending stage of life, upon a woman dying... and focusses on her unknown past, the question as to what is real upon dying? and the life that goes on after her. The film has no qualms with switching between the past, present, and the various stories told around the dying woman and her two daughters, working out their lives in contrast to their mothers' influence, and ultimately learn more about her during her last moments.
It is a unique film that needs to be seen for its raw view on a life well lived. Worth every moment of viewing... its sad, terrible, mysterious and non hollywood. Exactly how I like it. Recommend!!
