Review of Even the Rain (2011) by Rob S — 13 Jan 2012
Interesting film within a film within a film. A Spanish film crew in Bolivia making a film about Colombus and Spain's treatment of the natives is used as a metaphor for the poor who are demonstrating over the privatization of their water supply.
Sometimes the metaphor and parallels are a bit obvious, but a good cast, led by the always watchable Luis Tosar and Gael Garcia Bernal make this worth seeing. Beautifully photographed with a score Alberto Iglesias.
