ANYONE who has EVER read a novel by Tom Robbins knows that it would take a lot more time, effort, and imagination then this to pull off one of his stories in film form. Even though this was an extreme disappointment, I still have the utmost respect for Gus Van Sant (Psycho, Good Will Hunting), Uma Thurman, and K.
D. Lang.
