Review of Eulogy (2004) by Miss Keyser — 20 Feb 2006
First of all, this movie is really not for everyone. It's pretty morbid and weird. So immediately, some people may be uncomfortable with it. But if you do go for that stuff, it's hillarious! I really couldn't stop laughing.
The only problem is how it didn't really live up to it's potential. Something was just lacking. Like perhaps the director should have concentrated on the overall movie instead on the individual scenes.
And also made the characters more likable... nothing's worse than having to care for characters we feel like slapping the entire time. Nevertheless, I think Zooey Deschanel really salvages it. She's incredible.
I guess I excepted a whole lot more. And it's a pity because if it was more, I know it would have been one of my favourite movies.
