Review of Eternity and a Day (1998) by Lain G — 14 Dec 2007
Theo is my favorite director. He is good at using long takes and filter to make a calm, tranquill and sometimes plaintive atmosphere. In Eternity and A Day, he used these skills in the most appropriate way in comparison with his other films (such as Ulysses's Gaze).
What is more important, Theo discussed the relationship between eternity and day, dream and life, and illusion and reality. Plus, those original soundtracks made by Eleni Karandrou are awesome.
