Review of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) by Dov D — 19 Nov 2013
Directer Michel Gondry teams up with Being John Malkovich screenwriter Charlie Kaufman to produce one of the most innovative screenplays of the past decade. Eternal Sunshine takes you, quite literally, into the mind of Jim Carrey and into the reality of modern day relationships.
This is one of only a hand full of films that was really able to tug on my heart strings, and that's largely due to an extremely talented cast and the best performance of Jim Carrey's career. They also did a great job on cinematography, which easily could have been a disaster with a script like this one.
Bottom line, everyone should see this film, it's a game changer.
