Review of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) by Timothy Y — 01 Aug 2014
Re-saw this after 30 years, with my eleven year old son. We both liked it, but it was also evident just how much that has changed during these three decades. The film felt very slow compared to modern films, the special effects were a bit primitive and the actors looked and acted more like real people and not like "Hollywood people".
All this is not bad, mind you, and it is a tear jerked in a good way, well worth watching again, though I might not wait another 30 years to do so...
