Review of Essential Killing (2010) by Michael W — 25 Jul 2011
Vincent Gallo excels in a film that although featuring three languages he doesn't utter a single word. The film is a visual treat and whilst Gallo's character is painted as an enemy insurgent once he escapes from his captors our sympathies lye firmly at his feet.
This wont be to everyones tastes but for anyone willing to watch this near existential piece of film making will get a lot from it.
